Coughing is your body's way of clearing your airways of mucus, smoke, allergens and other particles. A dry unproductive cough can be caused by such irritants or be a sign of respiratory infection.  A hot, dry & irritated cough can disturb routine daily activities. Herbs have long been used to support the body's respiratory & immune function*. 

Our Herbal Cough Support tea can be prepared in a variety of ways, including standard infusion, decoction method or made into a syrup.

Wild Cherry Bark^ (Prunus serotina), Mullein^ (Verbascum thapsus), Ginger Root^ (Zingiber officinale), Horehound^ (Marrubium vulgare), Licorice Root^ (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Elderberry^ (Sambucus nigra), Osha Root^^ (Ligusticum porteri), Brandy (as a preservative), Flower Essences of Elderflower & Mullein


Syrup: Pouch contents yield approx. 500ml + once honey is added

Brewed as Hot Infusion: 1 TBS per cup. Steep 10-15 min, covered

Decoction Preparation Method for Tea:

Bring 3 1/2 cups water to a boil via stovetop
Add contents of herb pouch, cover & reduce heat to low
Simmer 45 minutes
Once the tea has cooled some, strain herbs from your decoction and discard to compost.
Keep refrigerated (shelf life as tea without honey added is 3-5 days)

For SYRUP option:

Blend 1 C. Raw Honey to your tea, Stir well.
Store in mason jar or amber bottle, keep refrigerated and away from light. (Shelf life with honey added if stored properly is 3-6 months)
Note: Pouch contents yield approx. 500ml + once honey is added.

Syrup: 1 tsp- 1 TBS every 4 hours (up to 4x daily) for adults. Short term use only.
